Step 3: Content Market Fit

NOW IT'S TIME TO CREATE CONTENT AND POST!

After 7 days of warmup, you're ready to start making content. Not just any content though, we need to make content that strikes a few key boxes...

Watch Step 3 Video

What you're looking for

You want to find your "winning format" - the type of content that consistently gets 1000+ views and comments from people who could/would actually use your product (your ICP).

How do you find a winning format? Where do you start?

During the account warmup phase i had you save any videos you see that you could remake to promote your app, now its time to use those as inspiration. You will need to think creatively for this to work but its okay if you dont hit a homerun on your first try. It's okay to make some crappy videos that are essentially rip offs of others content. Not that many people will see it anyways, and everyone is copying other people in this game of content. The way you will see yourself win is by coming up with unique angles to copy proven formats and bring your business into the picture at the same time.

When you do make a video: Make sure the first comment, or caption or end of video Call to action (CTA) is related/relevant to your app. If you just want views but no downloads, whats the use of this? When you make a video, atleast the caption should mention your business.

Examples... the caption for one of my apps on every video is like: Do these hobbies and 1000+ more on our app "Curiosity quench" and then it hits 1 million views and 10,000 people read that, 1000 people download the app. This is low convertion rate but its cause I only mentioned my business in the caption. You can also pin the first comment with the exact same CTA, so when you have a video doing well and lots of people are commenting (which drives more views), then people read it there too. Lastly as a CTA (Call to action), you can put your business RIGHT into the content. Either with an end of video screenshot and text on screen, or in the background being used without mentioning it at all (then people ask in the comments).

Most important here is to not overdo it. do not make videos that look like ads. If someone things your video is and Ad, they will not watch it, it will get no views, maybe 500 if you're lucky. No one wants to feel like their being sold to. NEXT! boring! no value! Make content that brings the views something of value: Educate them, entertain them, make them feel seen or heard. Relate to them, fix their problems, make them laugh, make them feel something. DO NOT MAKE VIDEOS THAT FEEL LIKE ADS.

Start with 1 post/ day and after 30 days of this if you didnt hit a reel with 500k views then feel free to DM me if you need help.

Try to see what other apps are doing (can even look at mine) , and keep trying new formats, this is all about testing, but know that it IS POSSIBLE.

-

Once you find a winning format, double down on it. Each apps "winning format" is unique and this may take more than a month to find a true winner. Took me 300+ videos for my app. Now i post 3 a day on one account and 2 a day on another.

You're not allowed to feel discouraged until you've tried 100 times. 100 formats.

Don't rush into posting a million videos. Posting ONE a day that you have put reel creative thought into is much better than spraying out 2,3,4,5,6+ a day.

Stick to 1 a day per warmed account (account that is new and you scrolled on without posting for 7 days in your target audience)

Aim for short videos as algo LOVESSS watch time and comments. These are your two goals. MAKE content that drives comments and watch time

What type of content drives these the best? GOOD CONTENT! not slop. You can go viral if you let yourself try hard enough and keep going. I know you can. and it will be a nice boost to your app downloads and revenue

Today's Mission

- Make your first video using one of your saved viral videos as inspiration

- Post ONLY 1 video per day (quality over quantity!)

- Focus on watch time and comments - these are your two main goals

How to make content that gets views

Step 1: Download CapCut (Free)

CapCut is the best free video editor. Download it on your phone or computer. You'll use this to recreate viral formats.

New to CapCut? Watch this tutorial:

Step 2: Get the viral audio/music

For those viral videos you saved, you need their audio. Use these tools:

  • • Search "TikTok to MP3" for TikTok videos
  • • Search "Reel to MP3" for Instagram reels
  • • Download the audio and import it into CapCut

Step 3: Recreate the format

Take that viral video and make it about YOUR niche:

  • • Keep the EXACT same hook and format
  • • Change the context to your business/app
  • • Use the same music/audio
  • • End with a CTA that mentions your app naturally or ONLY put the CTA in the caption and comments. It's easier to build momentum when you arent hard selling too early.

Step 4: Focus on what matters

The algorithm loves these 2 things:

  • Watch Time: Hook people in the first 3 seconds, the goal is to get them to watch as close to 100% of the video as possible, but if they leave in the first second then its over.
  • Comments: Spark discussion by making interesting or relatable content. Good content is king, always. Provide value and make every video a little bit better than the last.

Try short videos at first - the algorithm LOVES watch time and comments and these are easier to start with!

Step 5: Test and double down

Post ONE video per day. Don't rush and spray out 5-6 videos daily.

When you find a format that hits 1000+ views consistently, make a more variations of it. if it never goes beyonf 1000, try a different format. Dont get stuck too long on one format that isnt working. Each businesses winning formats are unique!

Step 3 Checklist

Download CapCut (free video editor)
Download audio from one of your saved viral videos
Make your first video using their format + your niche
Post it manually from in app (Tiktok/Instagram), and see how it performs

⚠️ Don't do this stuff

  • • Posting 5-6 videos a day (find success posting once a day before you scale 0x0)
  • • Making obviously promotional content (ad like content)
  • • Giving up after 10 videos (it took me 300+ to find my winner) Keep iterating.
